We are dedicated to helping protect Jehovah Witness children from sexual abuse and to fight against the cover up of sexual abuse. We are investigating a particularly
egregious case that has been reported to us involving three local congregations of Jehovah Witnesses in Bloomington, Bedford, and Mitchell, Indiana. Please help to inform
the ministers (elders) of these congregations that they have a legal duty to report child sexual abuse to their local law enforcement agencies!
Studies show us that the more sexually
repressed the religion, the more child sexual
abuse occurs among its members.
Phillip
Garrido, for example, who kidnapped
Jaycee Dugard and held her as a sex slave
for 18 years, was a Jehovah Witness
minister. Police were only alerted when he
tried to take the babies that he fathered with
Jaycee onto a University campus to preach
and distribute Watchtower magazines. Do
you want these people on your private
property, knocking on your door, talking to
your children?

Even especially prominent JW Representatives,
Robert Edinger, for example (left), repeatedly
intoxicated his son with alcohol at the age of 14,
following years of strippings and beatings. That
son survived, however, earned a PHD in Religion
at the University of Southern California, and is
now fighting back, especially because my mom
has Alzheimers and cannot express her wishes
and my father is keeping her from me. Many
family members of JWs suffer, and we need
solidarity in order to face these challenges, in
particular, because we still love them.
If you have any information about child sexual abuse among Jehovah Witnesses, it is
your legal duty to report it to your local law enforcement agency. Please report it to us
as well as us at:

Highland, Indiana, in Lake county, is 3 miles SE of Hammond, Indiana and 23 miles SE of Chicago, Illinois. The town is in the Gary metropolitan area and has a population of 23,546. Highland History, Michael and Judith Johnston were two pioneers who became Highland's first settlers in 1847. The town consisted mostly of farmland and progress was slow until 1880, when the arrival of a railroad attracted Dutch settlers. We, those of us who had this fearsome and violent ideology thrust upon us in our infancy, we are the victims of this fossilized, anachronistic, destructive, and dangerous philosophy of
idolatry of self that the JWs try to force with violence upon silent lambs. Your voice of courage rings clear and true. In your own way, you have now become a Pioneer, taking your stand
for the Truth. This is a much more effective way of getting the truth out there than bothering somebody trying to enjoy a family meal or getting ready for work.

Jehovah Witnesses invade private property with no permission of any
kind, by studies with children. Sometimes, they come to visit when you
are away from your home and unable to protect your family. They have
all of Bloomington, Bedford, and Mitchell, Indiana mapped out into
territories for door-to-door canvassing, hoping to be invited to a return
visit.

The law does nothing to stop this invasion of your private property,
since it is considered to be within their 1st amendment rights to solicit
our conversions. The only recourse that you have is to
notify them that
you do not want to be called on and then they will put you on their Do
Not Call list. Inform them that Jehovah Witnesses are not allowed on
your property. Only by having notified them will you be able to
put
legal force behind your no trespassing sign.
We urge you to do this as
soon as possible. Protect your children!
Tell the Jehovah Witness
representatives listed on the right, or the number in your local phone
book,
that under no circumstances do you want them to call at
your home!

Please post your comments here about Jehovah's Witnesses in your area.

I am the chairman of the body of elders in Mitchell, Indiana but I am not the secretary. The secretary is Charles Davis and he is the one who decides whether or not to release the files. He runs Superior Motors in Mitchell and you can just drop in there and talk with him about this matter if you are interested.

I think all of this is just awful. I have known Faith Spicer all of my life and I know that she is a good person. It is true that back before she married Ray, when she was disfellowshipped and living with that old man Daryl Yates, that he did abuse Faith's daughter Melody. But that was a long time ago and Faith has taken the matter directly to Jehovah in prayer and now it is forgiven.

I am one of Jehovah’s Witnesses originally from Indianapolis, Indiana, where I attended several congregations of Jehovah’s people, at Airport, Glendale, Heather Hills, Five Points, and the Southport Congregations of Jehovah’s Witnesses. I have also gone to a lot of parties of Jehovah’s witnesses over the years, in Evansville, Clarksville, Jeffersonville, New Albany, South Bend, Auburn, Greenwood, Bloomington, as well as Indianapolis. I have never gone out with any sisters who were not at least 18 years old. So I do not understand really what this issue is about. I love going to the Kingdom Hall and I have visited hundreds of Kingdom Halls, some in Illinois, Kentucky, especially Louisville, but most of all I like the congregation in Bloomington, Indiana because it has by far the pretty sisters.

Hello My Convention is next weekend (July 1st-3rd)… and I couldn’t be more excited about it! Unfortunately, we went through a recent move that made it hard for us to get lapel cards for it. Our new congregation was all out! I have asked a friend to email me a picture of hers so I could print one off, but her camera is broken and she isn’t able. Can anyone post a picture online of one so we can print one off? I would be so grateful!!!

Please email me with more information. Bob Edinger I knew when I lived in Bedford. He stayed at my parent's house in his camper during a quick build at their congregation.
My son goes to the KH in southern Indiana, and I need to know some more information in order to protect him. He is EXTREMELY close to each of the congregations mentioned.

Woman Wins Trespassing Judgment Against Jehovah's Witness, Miscellaneous News

A woman who said she repeatedly told Jehovah's Witnesses to stay off her property won a $632 judgment against one of them who showed up at her door and woke her up anyway
Jennie Basiago was awarded the money by a local district justice after filing a civil trespassing complaint against Bernadine DiStefano, a member of the Palmyra Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.
Basiago said followers of the religion came to her home every few months for 12 years and she called two Kingdom Halls in October and threatened legal action if the visits continued.
But two Jehovah's Witnesses awakened the late-shift worker in February after driving down a 300-foot lane past eight no-trespassing signs and three dog-warning signs, Basiago said.
"I just reached my limit," Basiago said.
DiStefano said the visit was an accident. Basiago was on a list of homeowners who had requested no visits, but officials in East Hanover Township assigned new addresses in the area and the list was not updated.
The defendant told District Justice Michael Smith she was driving and did not see the no-trespassing signs until Basiago pointed them out. She said Basiago was "enraged" at her and a woman accompanying her, and cursed at them.
DiStefano said she and other Jehovah's Witnesses go door-to-door to discuss the Bible with people and "give them hope for the future."
"That is our purpose -- not to harass her," DiStefano said.
Basiago had sought $8,000 in damages, but Smith awarded her $40 for each of the two days she spent researching DiStefano's identity and a day for lost sleep, then added that to the $395 penalty for trespass under criminal statutes, plus court costs. DiStefano said she had not decided if she would appeal.

Ram butts Bible man

By CHRISTOPHER SALTER
23-Jan-03

AFTER a day of doorknocking the last thing Jehovah's Witness Kenneth Hawthorn expected was to be attacked by one of God's creatures.

But that is exactly what happened.
Despite a gate marked 'private - keep out', Mr Hawthorn entered a farm only to be confronted by a four-year-old ram.

He attempted to shoo it away with a briefcase containing Bibles but was knocked to the ground and suffered a broken shin.

In the South Australian District Court, Mr Hawthorn and his wife Pamela, of Tea Tree Gully, reached a confidential settlement with the ram's owners for loss of earnings after the incident in July 2001.

The Hawthorns sued Ronald and Julie Goldfinch, of Paracombe, in the Adelaide hills. They claimed they were forced to sell their hose-fitting business as a result of the injuries Mr Hawthorn suffered.

They alleged the ram was a "dangerous and ferocious animal" and the Goldfinches were negligent for not keeping it confined and failing to warn visitors.

The Hawthorns also sued the Adelaide Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses for failing to provide proper instructions about doorknocking in rural areas.

In the Hawthorns' statement of claim, Mr Hawthorn, who was doorknocking with his daughter, said they opened a gate on the Goldfinch property and walked towards their house to "engage in biblical discussion".

"As they did so a ram appeared and charged (Mr Hawthorn) to the ground and the ram continued the attack pushing him towards the fence," the court documents said.

"At this time the defendants appeared and assisted (Mr Hawthorn) back into his car.

Mr Hawthorn claims he now is able to walk only small distances and "his capacity to enjoy life has permanently diminished".

In their defence, the Goldfinches said the Hawthorns entered their property "uninvited, unwanted and without notice".

They said their hand-reared pet ram had never attacked anyone before nor had it shown a "violent disposition".

In its own defence, The Adelaide congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses said doorknocking was voluntary and followers were not obliged to do it.

Mr Goldfinch said yesterday he was glad the case was over but disappointed with the result.

"We're just totally disappointed that they should have got anything," he said. "He walked into an area where he knew animals would have been, why should we pay."

The ram, which was affectionately known as "Shit for brains", has since died.

The Hawthorns declined to comment.
http://www.austlii.edu.au/
This is the Australasian Legal Information Institute. They have case records. Type in Jehovahs, not witnesses, or you get a million records! Hmmm.... did the WTS come to the legal aid of the individual JW? Even though the JW was representing the Society.
The Hawthorns also sued the Adelaide Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses for failing to provide proper instructions about doorknocking in rural areas.
I can't imagine such action without serious reproval. Seeking out worldly justice against brothers is a big no-no, against the Society or part of it is much more so.
The Adelaide congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses said doorknocking was voluntary and followers were not obliged to do it.
Sure, just like everything is voluntary for them. Except if you don't do it you loose your family, your friends, your whole life goes down the drain, etc. But no pressure.
Despite a gate marked 'private - keep out', Mr Hawthorn entered a farm only to be confronted by a four-year-old ram.
So the JW enters a private gate, trespasses on someone else's property and then sues the homeowners when a goat knocks him over? How very Christ-like of him!
And I'm sorry but a broken shin is not that big of an injury. I can't see any reason why someone would have to sell a business over that. This just sounds like a money-grabbing, frivolous lawsuit to me. Those JW's should be ashamed of themselves. What in the world is going on in Australia that they actually awarded that clown money?
Despite a gate marked 'private - keep out', Mr Hawthorn entered a farm only to be confronted by a four-year-old ram.
and yet the househlder got stuck with the damages costs whatever.
sad for the householder who'd put the totally ignored 'keep out' notice
great witness for the neighbourhood, that not only will jws ignore warning signs, they'll sue you for the pleasure of their harrassment that leaves them with contributory negligence injuries.
I have 2 no tresspassing signs 10 feet before you get to my door ... AND a private property sign there as well PLUS a noo soliciting on my door and yet they STILL come to my door.... OH and did you see how the congregation stood up for it's preachers out there???? It said it's VOLUNTARY!!!! HAHHAHAHA! If I was in a congregation still, I would print that off & carry it with me to all of the get togethers & share it with everyone.... see... you don't HAVE to go door to door! strictly volunteers! unbelievable!
Gosh Blondie...who's the goat NOW? LOL
If they still come to the door, do you call the police? I would take down their license plate too in case they take off. I would send a certified letter to the local congregation, attention the body of elders. No good putting up signs if you don't get the police involved. They listen then. I have seen it.
If I buy rural property again I'm going to follow the example of a friend and put up a sign: "Tresspassers will be shot. Survivors will be shot again."
Dumb ars witnesses they should know that going onto a rural property with NO TRESSPASSING signs is a very serious matter, those are not nessssarily there to keep unwanted (jws) away but may serve to keep uninvited visitors safe, farms in general are not the safest places to be even for the invited. I should know I grew up on one.
most people feel uncomfortable in posting a sign No Jehovah,s Witnesses but this will
stop them from knocking on your door..They beleive the No Trespassing signs are
for people who solicits , school activites, funds for the homeless etc..It,s funny the only
people that comes to your door today are JW. Wake up people the signs are for you.
So you need to be specific.JW doooo noooot steeeep fooot ooon mmmy prooperty.
NO JEHOVAH,S WITNESSES
Jehovah`s Witness`s always ignore signs..
I watched them read the sign at my house..
Then listened to them lie, about not seeing a sign..
LOL!!..

Lets see, JW's can't read signs on houses, nor evidentally any sign where Jesus said not to try and guess the day or hour. Outlaw is right, signs are not a JW strong suit.
Judges must be fickle.
One home owner wins a settlement when dubs trespass; the other loses when dubs trespass.
True, there was a goat, but isn't there always a goat?
I need to repost my no trespassing sign. I saw a tract on my door recently
DiStefano said the visit was an accident. Basiago was on a list of homeowners who had requested no visits, but officials in East Hanover Township assigned new addresses in the area and the list was not updated.
So, Armageddon comes along, you have been a good dubbie, but you get destroyed anyway because these chuckleheads are incompetent at keeping their paperwork in order. Swell....

I have a No Solicitation sign on my door and I still get people who solicit crap. The last time it happened, I tactfully pointed out the sign and the lady said I didn't see it.
bs. People think, too often, they can completely ignore those things without penalty. Ridiculous
Any judge who would award a trespasser damages should be put in prison. In many states, and here in Florida as well, if you trespass and enter a home or come close enough to the homeowner that he/she fears for his safety, you can be shot dead. And the trespasser's family is forbidden by law from suing for damages. If they do, they will be punished by the court. I would think that would make a few of them think twice.
Perhaps JW's should ignore the WT and should go to college. They might finally learn to read so when there is a sign "NO JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES, NO EXCEPTIONS, YES THIS MEANS YOU" they will see it and leave people alone. In the states, we are told to NOT go where this is a No Trespassing sign. And if we ignore it, we are responsible. And some publishers forget to write down do not calls, which I hate. Or they forget to tell the rest of the car group the do not calls on the street they are working.

The Watch Tower Society should not hesitate to remove the elders if they are abusing their members. In my congregation in Felton California the elders are also very abusive. Mitch Huchison is very abusive presiding overseer. He appointed a body of elders that he could control. Mitch Huchison is very good in brainwashing his members. He is very envious elder, anybody that he is envious to he would find fault against them and disfellowship them without any cause. He would announce the names of the brothers and sisters that he is envious of without even consulting or decision from the governing body. That's how he controlled the congregation. Because once the names were announced as disfellowship nobody would talk to that person anymore. He had done that for 25 years and he has been very successful of doing it without any trouble at all. I knew that he had been reproof for being immoral, but he then gets back to his position as presiding overseer, and continually abusing his members. The elders in Felton congregation are actually not acting as a good shepherd. They are all abusive elders keep following their leader Mitch Huchison.

Mitch Huchison, Jeff Cain, Matt Swinnerton, Asher Rios, Mark Pfister etc. These body of elders in Felton congregation, Felton California are very abusive. They are obviously impostors.

Oh man, is that thesame Ron Colangelo - if I am not mistaken he is something like 63, I am thinking his "pretty girl" days are a thing of the past, memories sweetened thru the ages just like wine (or whine in his case).

Right, you bunch of loosers, I only get better as I get older. 63 is the new 30. Now that i have had the mole removed from my face, I am in more demand than ever

Larry Liggit
26 Feb 2012

I have know Ron Colangelo for about 40 years now, and I can tell you that even at 63, now that the mole is gone, the girls at the Kingdom Hall still weep during the songs and the prayer, crying out of sheer joy to be in the proximity of the one and only Ron Colangelo. Maybe it has something to do with his sports cars, you think?

I now understand why the talks in the kingdomhall they always discourage higher education. The real culprit, the great dragon lives here in Scotts Valley and he has been serving as a presiding overseer in Felton congregation, Felton California. He influenced the talks and the Watch Tower study in the whole world. Mitch Hutchison is the real culprit, that's why the talks sometimes are very nasty and sometimes the study articles in the Watch Tower are sounded like morons because some of the members of the governing body listened to the dictation of Mitch Hutchison. They also have policy like don't ask don't tell. By that the elders can easily abuse their members. Mitch Hutchison, your malediction will be worst than that with your wife!!!

Good day!
I saw your site on a JW Recovery FB page and I thought it was interesting. I admire what you are doing. I am also in Indiana. I have no report
to make, I just wanted to thank you for doing this. In our XXXX, Indiana congregation we had an incident many years ago of a teen molesting
a child. The 2 families were at odds after that, & since the elders didn’t report anything, all that happened was the teens family simply
changed congregations. The child and his family did not attend any meetings until they were gone, and it was some time before they did
leave. As if nothing was wrong. The teens family was a favorite of one of the local elders and he never saw any wrong with the entire family,
as he had studied with them and the entire family of 6 came to be JW’s thru him. I think pride was involved in his not reporting the crime.
Eventually, several years later, all of the elders were removed at that KH, a clean sweep by a judicial committee. New elders were brought in
from other nearby congregations. All we know is that most of them can never be elders again. For various reasons. This was a few years
after the molestation. The elder in question re: the molestation, told his adult children that his wife of 60 years can never know WHY he was
formally removed because it would kill her. Ok, I say, WTH? He did something really bad then. Right? He wasn’t DF, and had to beg and beg
to retain his position as a full time pioneer. So, he did something very bad. We do not know. This happened to him about a year after we
stopped going, back in 2002. But he never did the right thing re: the child a few years before. So, I think that was still sullying his reputation.
He couldn’t explain it later, it was too late. So, we don’t know what he ever did so wrong. The teen/child thing was well known, so that was not
kept from his wife. He was removed for other reasons and that may have been part of it. But as they are told to protect the pedo, I think he
did something himself to get removed for. Having nothing to do with that. He is in his 80’s now. He also studied with my husband & myself and
we became JW’s in 1974. Thru him. A decision I will forever regret with all my might. In one of your protest photos in Canada, there is a sign
referencing Jim Jones. Wasn’t he at one time, a JW? So, he knew how to brainwash and keep people in a cult. He learned from the experts!
The JC Duggard thing is sickening. I also followed that story. I didn’t know they were out in service that day. Of course the news didn’t call it
that. I am glad they were tho, just so the JW’s can have the shame of that on them! They do indeed need investigated by the feds. I never
thought of them as trespassers before I read your site. That’s so true!

Nowdays, nobody wants strangers on their property. The JW’s themselves risk it by doing that. Trespassing is also a crime. So, they daily
commit crimes! I never even thought of that. I saw many of those signs in yards when we would go in service, but we were told it doesn’t apply
to us. *We were doing Jehovah’s work, not robbing and stealing*. But, how does the homeowner know that? They don’t! I don’t know if they
do much door to door anymore there, but here up north of Indy. Never see them. We left in 2002, for decades of reasons! and I have never
seen an elder at my door not once! They came when I was at work one day and my husband met them outside & told them what the deal
was. They never came back. I think there was a lot going on at the KH, in private, that we didn’t know about. So, they were pretty
preoccupied with all that and trying to NOT get DF’d, all of them! My grown kids at the time, 16 & 18, left too. We never looked back. In fact,
they were just baptized 4 mos prior to us leaving. We really blindsided everybody I am guessing. But nobody has followed up and that’s fine.
We are not DF, just stopped going. All of us. We have a much more complete life now, as normal persons in society. We have big holiday
celebrations, and we call it what it is. Unlike the JW’s, who also have the holidays, they just cloak it in secrecy and call it another name. But
we know, we always knew. We were forbidden to have the holidays with our real familys but they all have Thanksgiving together and x-mas,
they just call it Party Day and exchange gifts. All the while telling us we can’t be with our families. It has ruined our lives and relationships and
we have slowly tried to repair that. I can never forgive them for that and many other things. Thank goodness my kids got out while they were
still teenagers. Thank you again for being there for the kids and victims of the JW’s. I do hope you succeed in getting an federal investigation
going against them. They have cov’d it up long enough! Happy Holidays to you and have a great week. & Thank you for taking the time to
read a bit of our experience in the cult. GOOD LUCK to you!!!! I will stay with it for updates!

I was an active JW, since I was born with JW parents. I even went out in the ministry by myself because of my strong faith of Jehovah. I conducted many bible studies before. Though I married a non-Jehovah's witness, I asked that from Jehovah. My non-witnesses husband brought me to the nearest kingdomhall from where he lives. Since the very first time I and my husband attended the meetings in kingdomhall, they the public talks were very nasty, obviously targeting me and my husband. I ignored them, we survived for eight years in attending the meetings because of my great faith of Jehovah. The elders obviously couldn't stand looking at us. They obviously were envious of my professor husband. My husband would not talk he was always silent in the kingdomhall, but the elders wouldn't stop picking on him through nasty public talks. The elders would tell the speaker that my husband is a scientist, so they won't stop talking nasty talks until we would stop attending the meetings. I ignored them. I went out in the ministry by myself because nobody would go with me. I had many magazine placements and return visits. People seem nice to me. But in the talk they would despise my work. Asher Rios, one of the elders even said in his talk one time that obviously pointing to me, he said something like I have many magazine placements but the people that I encountered were not really interested. Jeff Cain, the other elder, also said like this when they know that we were building a school, he said like this, 'it could just make others envious.' I didn't really understand the mentalities of these elders. The regular pioneer, Kim Sanchez, while I was going with her for the first time in the ministry, when I told her to stop for a second in the house nearby so I could give the book for my return visit, was very upset of me. Not long after that during the memorial, for the very first time she started partaking after that incident. She always talked about her accomplishments in the ministry, and that she kept volunteering in making kingdomhalls. These people must have ADD? I will print the articles from here and spread to the people because I could not stand with their abusiveness. I tried to attend this morning in the meetings, but the elders called the police to shoo me away. They did not want me to enter in the kingdomhall again, so I will now be an active preacher against these people. It is now reverse. Since I know from the bottom of my heart who are the impostors I have no more conscience for that.

The elders in Felton California congregation are the modern Nazis. There was a woman from a devoted Catholic family, left her Catholic religion because she preferred to marry a Jehovah's witness in Felton congregation. She was kicked out from her Catholic family. Her parents were so upset of her because she chose to become a Jehovah's witness. Not long after their marriage, her Jehovah's witness left her and married another Jehovah's witness. Very sadistic people. When you see the Jehovah's witnesses in the Kingdomhall they just keep laughing. Bur anyway, the presiding overseer's wife died not long ago of malediction. Mitch Hutchison is the presiding overseer.

I am a South African - I have a son who has recently gone into the JW faith and a sister-in-law that has been in the faith for over 40 years - they openly speak of thei faith, and although they would like us to join them they have never ever judged us in any way and remain wonderful people following Christ in their own belief - we humbly respect them in the family

The elders should at least take an I.Q. or E.Q. test before they are allowed to lead in a congregation because they could damage the people's lives and blaspheme Jehovah's name. The congregation in Felton California is a family occult church. Exclusive for elders own families and relatives. If you move to this congregation, they would really discriminate you and the elders will find ways how to kick you out from their kingdomhall. The governing body has no control of the kingdomhalls. Many elders oppose the presiding overseer, Mitch Hutchison, but Mitch Hutchison determined not to step down from his position as a presiding overseer, and he is very proud of that. He chose his own elders that he could control. he picked the most dummy in the congregation, so he could control them and treated them like his own slaves. The elders are afraid to fight with Hutchison because Hutchison would not hesitate to announce their names in the kingdomhall as 'no longer serving as an elder.' Many moved to the other congregations. He appoint his own son as an elder, to maintain his power. Hutchison is serving as king of Felton congregation. He is after of his title as 'Presiding Overseer' so when he died he could write on his own memorial webpage like this 'In loving memory of Mitch Hutchison. Serving as a regular pioneer and presiding overseer for over 25 years. Undefeated elder.' He always emphasize that in his talks in front of the platform.

There will be no more religions allowed someday. People might be taught about Jehovah but no longer in the kingdomhalls. Jehovah's witnesses in kingdomhalls are also a religion and it will also be crushed down. Many elders are not fitting to lead the people in a congregation. Just imagine what life would be when we have leaders that are dummies. Enough for this craziness!!!!! Mitch Hutchison, Jeff Cain, Mark Pfister, Matthew Swinnerton, Otis, Asher Rios, Erik Rios, Blake Hutchison, you be ashamed!!!!!! When your malediction come, remember the people that you abuse!!!!!!

My dear wife and I left Jw's in 2004 after careful reading and research. Ray Franz' books opened our eyes. We both were Jw's since childhood, baptized in our teens, married young. We were in our late 40's when we left. It was the BEST, and the HARDEST decision we ever made.

Now, 8 years later, we have had to rebuild our lives around 'normal' thinking, ideas, culture. Our lifelong 'friends' all turned into asses, shun us, tell virulent lies about why we left.

We did the whole bit of trying other religions, seeking 'spirituality', etc - before we finally got our minds cleared of all the nonsense, learned rational thought. We are now firm atheists, and understand that due to 40+ years of cult influence we likely would have done so much more to benefit mankind and enlarge our understanding of the world in that time.

We encourage all that will listen to 'think, think, think', and to 'read, read, read' to overcome the cult mentality [and I speak here of all religion not just Jw].

Good to see the apostates are active in Indy! I live in SoCal but my family is still active in the South Indy area. I hope they come to their senses before another generation is indoctrinated and kept from education.
